One man's harassment.

Regarding your June 6 GenQ column Outspoken, perhaps Jesse Leonard's next purchase should be a big rainbow-colored KICK ME sign. Here's a person who goes to his principal, proclaims his sexuality, and hears a response he doesn't like. The next week he wears a shirt proclaiming his sexuality--which he saw as a provocation Conduct by which one induces another to do a particular deed; the act of inducing rage, anger, or resentment in another person that may cause that person to engage in an illegal act. , or he wouldn't have asked the question "So what do you think of my shirt?"--and again seeks out an answer that hurts his feelings. One of the signs of maturity is being willing and able to stand up to what happens when you challenge others. Jesse believes he has a right to confront others, but only if they promise not to hurt his feelings.

I recently moved to nev.from abut have been going back to ca. every 2 to 3 weeks for med.
? Jesse was not harassed. He simply got the rejection he was so aggressively seeking. He wanted to state his opinion but became upset when someone disagreed. That's not the sign of pride; that's the sign of petulance.
