One is the special one; ENGLAND MANAGER LATEST YOU CAN FORGET MOURINHO.. CHARLES BIDS FOR THE BIG JOB.

Byline: BOB ROBERTS in Uganda

JUST when we thought it was impossible for an England manager to look any more of a Charlie...

But Jose Mourinho, Martin O'Neil or any other candidate for ousted Steve McClaren's job can hardly be sweating after Prince Charles showed his skills yesterday.

His scuffed shot made for an embarrassingly easy save, but Charles took a leaf out of McClaren's book and tried to excuse his weak effort, saying: "I used to play football at school, but I am a bit past it now."

Charles had visited the Kampala Kids League project in Uganda while taking part in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Meanwhile, in the Commons, Labour MP Roger Godsiff lodged an Early Day Motion slamming England's flops as "over-paid, overpampered and over-hyped prima donnas".

England fan Martin Hayes, of West London, said: "At last, an MP who mirrors what the nation is thinking."
