This is Alexander's second volume of her struggles to adapt to life as a newly blind person. (Her first volume is Taking Hold, My Journey Into Blindness.) This audiobook moves along rapidly during a short period in the author's life as she loses the rest of her sight and also finds herself threatened with hearing loss. Toren's voice helps create the other people in Alexander's life, both male and female, with great skill. Toren is a wonderful narrator NARRATOR. Being able to listen to Sally's story through Toren's melodious voice gives the audience an even richer experience.
