Omtool's AccuRoute document routing platform for the Ricoh Embedded Software Architecture platform was recognized as the best and most viable commercial solution by Ricoh Corporation and Sun Microsystems, Inc., at the Ricoh Developers Conference April 26, 2006, in Marco Island, Florida.

Omtool's winning AccuRoute solution for the Ricoh platform was designed to effectively provide a complete and efficient document routing solution that takes into account business processes and how businesses capture, process and distribute documents. Omtool surveyed a large number of Ricoh dealers who clearly articulated the desire to have a document routing solution that includes enterprise fax from a single provider. The respondents also supported the AccuRoute feature that enables the majority of the distribution work to be done from each end user's desktop enabling simple, single-button entry from the Ricoh embedded software devices, when desired.

Omtool then went on to win the grand prize for Best Viable Commercial Solution which includes a $50,000 marketing fund, a Ricoh Multifunction Product (MFP) with an MSRP of up to $25K, a one-year maintenance contract and a Sun Workstation, and a Ricoh certification for the AccuRoute platform.
