Omron Healthcare to Launch Modulated Waveform-Equipped Low-Frequency Electrotherapy Device.


Tokyo, Japan, Oct 28, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Omron Healthcare will introduce the Gutto-Raku HV-F3000, a new model of low-frequency therapy equipment, on October 28. The new product, which uses a modulated mod·u·late  
v. mod·u·lat·ed, mod·u·lat·ing, mod·u·lates

 waveform The shape of a signal. See wavelength, sine wave and square wave.  that consists of two pulses 122Hz and 4000Hz, can treat ailments with electrical currents (up to 20mA) while reducing irritation.

The first home-care device in Japan that has adopted a modulated waveform, the HV-F3000 is shipped with a special pad for treating knees.

The retail price is open. The company aims to sell 6,000 units in fiscal 2005 and 12,000 units in fiscal 2006.
