Omnipoint Secures International Roaming in Slovenia.

CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Customers of Omnipoint Communications (Nasdaq: OMPT) can now use their advanced wireless service when traveling in Slovenia. The Personal Communications Services (PCS) provider today launched its first roaming agreement in the country with Mobitel d.d. Slovenia. This is Omnipoint's 68th international roaming deal.

GSM carriers in North America, like Omnipoint, operate at a different radio frequency than their international counterparts. Omnipoint offers customers a choice of handsets when traveling abroad. The less frequent traveler may rent an international GSM mobile phone from Omnipoint.
