ATLANTA -- Omnilink Systems, the leader in the emerging field of Vital Status Services (VSS), introduced Omnilink i at Qualcomm's BREW Conference in San Diego, Calif. May 31 - June 2. Omnilink i collects and transmits data on the location and condition of vital assets and people via ubiquitous wireless networks. The device technology is a first-of-its-kind solution that works in situations where Global Positioning System (GPS) and AGPS technologies will not.

Omnilink i uses an optimal and unique convergence of cellular technology, GPS, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and situation-specific sensors to determine status, and informs clients immediately if relevant factors such as location, route, temperature, etc., go outside predetermined thresholds. This means a new level of discreet, reliable monitoring is now available for the judicial market and other industries. In fact, Omnilink is the first company to use Qualcomm's Advanced Forward Link Trilateration (AFLT) and CDMA technologies to bring unprecedented levels of efficiencies to the judicial electronic monitoring space.
