Olivetti taps Nexus to support peripherals for bank-wide branch application.


ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 1995--Olivetti North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  has selected Nexus Software, the leading provider of retail branch connectivity, to support currency dispensers for its bank-wide retail banking system, Mosaic OA.

Nexus will develop WOSA/XFS-compliant service providers (software code) for the dispensers, adhering to the industry standard for open retail environments. The standard eliminates many of the device hurdles institutions face when integrating systems and peripherals. Olivetti's Mosaic OA is a client/server application automating all front-end branch activities, including teller and platform functions, consumer loans and self-service kiosks. Mosaic OA integrates with an institution's core processing or host system in either a Unix, Windows NT, Windows '95 or Windows NT Workstation environment. There are currently more than 15 institutions implementing Mosaic OA, including Citibank Domestic, KeyBank of Cleveland and Manufacturers Bank of Los Angeles.
