 at the Cuthbert Amphitheater (7 p.m.). On Sunday, Warrant will serve "Cherry Pie" at the Jungle (9 p.m.). And on Thursday, we'll be cooking over Canned Heat, also at the Jungle (8 p.m.).

Speaking of things retro, Steve Perry and the other Cherry Poppin' Daddies have spun off another nattily attired group, White Hot Odyssey White Hot Odyssey is an American band created in 2002, headed by Steve Perry, lead singer of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies along with the Daddies' guitarist Jason Moss and Eugene, Oregon musicians Mark Rogers, Ed Cole and Jivan Valpey. . Catch both bands at the McDonald Theatre on Saturday, starting at 9 p.m.

Hip-hoppers will hit the WOW Hall at 9:30 tonight for a four-act show featuring Luckyiam.PSC (Public Service Commission) Same as PUC. , which has been lucky enough to record with the Living Legends and the Mystik Journeymen. Also up: Eugene's Strangefolks and Sapient, and Portland's Ramsey Bros.

Out at Secret House Vineyards in Veneta on Saturday, Bill Willie Bluz, Lloyd Jones, Paul deLay and Linda Hornbuckle will play and sing the blues for wine drinkers starting at 1 p.m. On Tuesday, Xiu Xiu will be the main distraction in another multiple-act WOW Hall show, starting at 9:30 p.m.

The movies opening today are mostly about really scary stuff, including "Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid" (Cinema World, Cinemark), "Suspect Zero" (Cinemark) and "The Corporation" (Bijou Art Cinemas).
