Okidata Introduces The OKIPAGE 20 Series -- Meeting the Needs of Businesses With the First 20 Page-Per-Minute Printer Featuring Standard Duplex Printing --.


MT. LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1998--Okidata today introduced the OKIPAGE 20 Series: including the first 20 page-per-minute (PPM) page printers with standard duplex (2-sided) printing. The OKIPAGE 20 Series printers also feature Okidata's advanced LED technology and are designed to provide faster, higher quality output and increased productivity in workgroup environments. The Series includes the OKIPAGE 20, with a long-running 50,000-page-per-month duty cycle and 600dpi resolution; and the OKIPAGE 20DX and the OKIPAGE 20DXn, which additionally feature networking capability and duplex printing The ability to print on both sides of the paper.  for cost and environmentally conscious businesses.

The Series is fully compatible with Windows NT4.0/3.51, Windows 95 and Windows 3.1x, plus Macintosh via the PostScript option. OKIPAGE 20 Series printers will also be compatible with Windows 98/NT 5.0, when available.

Paper Handling

The OKIPAGE Series printers work with a wide variety of paper stocks, mailing including envelopes, mailing labels and overhead transparencies. These printers come standard with a 530-sheet input tray plus a 100-sheet Power Feeder, expandable through optional second and third paper tray mechanisms. Also available is a power feeder for up to 1,790 sheets to easily fulfill the needs of as many as 25 clients in shared workgroup environments.

The OKIPAGE 20 Series is available at competitive prices: the OKIPAGE 20 sells at a list price of $1,449; the OKIPAGE 20DX has a list price of $1,749 and the OKIPAGE DXn is available for a list price of $2,399.

Energy Star(R) Rating

The OKIPAGE 20 Series is compliant with the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star(R) energy-efficient program, signifying lower usage by computers and peripherals. The printer's Power Save Mode automatically reduces power usage to less than 20 watts when it is inactive.
