Oil-sealed vacuum pump saves water disposal.

Leistritz in Somerville, N.J., believes it is the first OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  to offer an oil-sealed vacuum pump Vacuum pump

A device that reduces the pressure of a gas (usually air) in a container. When gas in a closed container is lowered from atmospheric pressure, the operation constitutes an increase in vacuum in this container.

Oil is cooled by a fan driven by the pump motor. The pump can be mated to multiple vents and used with a three-way valve so that processing can continue while the filter trap is being changed. Oil may need to be changed every two to six months, Leistritz says, depending on the quantity and type of volatiles being drawn off. Oil-sealed pumps are available for twin-screws up to 135 mm diam.
