 this week to officially break the ground for Woodland Hills. The ceremonies celebrated the commencement of construction on the community of 252 luxury townhomes, which will rise on a wooded, 96-acre site at the intersection of Shelter Rock Road and Plumtrees Road in Southeastern Danbury.

Woodland Hills is the first major venture in Connecticut for GDC, which formed the Connecticut division in 1999 with Joe Novella, whose family-run company, Novella Development, had a 35-year history in the state.

"We are very focused on quality of architecture and construction, and are committed to creating outstanding landscape designs that are sensitive to the environment," said Martin Ginsburg, GDC founder.

Woodland Hills will feature seven distinctive designs. Built in small, intimate clusters, the two-, three-, and four- bedroom townhomes will boast a number of attractive architectural elements that maximize the curb appeal, including rich materials, multiple gables, bay windows, storybook sto·ry·book
