His accountabilities include implementing systemic quality and patient safety activities and providing medical management for several hospitals. He has a background in private group practice and served as medical director of New Mexico Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He is a nationally recognized leader in quality improvement and clinical effectiveness, as well as medical staff development and management. Dr. Nunn has direct responsibility for health information, pharmacy, medical staff office, decision support, clinical informatics, clinical effectiveness, infection control, and quality support services. Nunn practiced internal medicine and gastroenterology in a large multispecialty clinic in Rocky Mount, N.C. from 1985 to 1993. He served in a leadership position and helped grow the practice from 12 to 45 physicians. Sherry is president of Southwest Imaging and Interventional Specialists in Dallas, Texas, and co-owner and managing partner of Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Center. The center's primary hospital affiliation is Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where Sherry served on the hospital board as president of the medical staff and has recently been elected chairman for the department of radiology.
