Office of Surface Mining, Single Source Coal System in Production using Probaris SP.

PHILADELPHIA -- Probaris announced today that the U.S. Department of the Interior's (DOI) Office of Surface Mining (OSM) has signed a Master Software License and Support Agreement for use of the Probaris SP software. The license agreements are on our GSA FSS # GS-35F-0853R. The OSM is using Probaris SP for its Single Source Coal Reporting (SSCR) System.

The SSCR system allows coal mining entities to file all of the quarterly coal production and safety information required by federal and state government agencies using one simple, secure, web-based application. Rather than submitting separate paper-based forms to each different government agency, companies simply enter this information once, and the system automatically distributes the necessary data to each recipient agency. The SSCR system ensures that information is consistently reported to the government agencies, greatly reducing the number of data entry or reporting errors that may occur during the filing process.

Government agencies participating in the SSCR project include the Department of Interior's Office of Surface Mining, the Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration, the state government of Pennsylvania and Virginia, and the Internal Revenue Service.

Probaris received a purchase order from the OSM in February 2006 for the SP server, business process and end user licenses, as well as software maintenance for the SSCR project. Performing as a subcontractor to Delphinus Engineering, Probaris developed the SSCR system for the OSM during the period of June 2005 to January 2006. Delphinus Engineering has a contract with the DOI for e-authentication and e-process implementation.

Probaris has other federal government installations of their SP software with the Social Security Administration for a HSPD-12 implementation project and within the DOI and Bureau of Land Management to automate and secure manual and paper based business processes, including many cross-enterprise and public facing processes.
