Office building fetches $32M.


The office building located at 8 Sound Shore Drive in Greenwich Connecticut has been purchased for $32.6 million.

The purchaser is 8 Sound Shore Associates LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

 Management said, "Our principal properties are in New York City and our goal has been to expand and diversify our holdings through an acquisition in the New York metropolitan area New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island is the most populous metropolitan area in the United States and the third most populous in the world, after Tokyo and Mexico City. .

"We focused on Greenwich because we believe it is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, suburban real estate market. Our goal was to purchase a Greenwich office building with unique qualities. Like all our investments the property will be held as a long term investment."

The purchase was financed in part with a $21.5 million loan from Barclays Real Estate Capital of New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
, an arm of Barclays Bank, London. David S. Schaiman, Managing Director of SonnenblickGoldman Company, advised in arranging mortgage financing from Barclays.

The owners appointed Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut as exclusive agent to develop tenants for the third floor of the building containing 31,500 square feet. Steve Baker, Senior Managing Director, and Paul Kauffman of C&W's Stamford office will lead the marketing.

The owners also appointed Albert B. Ashforth Co. of Stamford as building managers.
