One Random Winner Will Have the Chance to Shoot for Grand Prize at

the "Carnival Cruise Lines All-Star Basketball Game" on July 13

Office Depot, Inc. (NYSE:ODP), celebrates its new sponsorship of Zo's Summer Groove with the announcement of the "Office Depot Zo's Summer Groove $50,000 Sweepstakes." Now through June 30, 2003, basketball enthusiasts are invited to visit any one of Office Depot's 23 retail stores in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties to receive up to four (4) free admission passes to the "Carnival Cruise Lines All-Star Basketball Game," which takes place on July 13th at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

On July 13th, two people will be randomly selected upon redeeming their admission pass at the Will Call window for entrance to the game. The two people who are selected will compete in an Office Depot "pricing" game during half-time. Contestants will be asked to guess the "correct" price of Back-To-School items. The winner will then have the chance to shoot a regulation basketball from half-court through the hoop. If successful, they will be awarded a cash prize of $50,000.

"We are confident that the promotional support behind Office Depot Zo's Summer Groove will create a buzz in the South Florida community and encourage attendance at the game," said Rachelle Franklin, Vice President of Brand Marketing for Office Depot. "But most importantly, our relationship with Alonzo Mourning provides us with another opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live, work and shop."

Office Depot Zo's Summer Groove combines music, fine dining, basketball and entertainment into one action packed weekend with a goal of supporting worthwhile organizations in making a difference in the lives of at-risk children. In the six years of its existence, Zo's Summer Groove has generated over $2.9 million in cash and economic benefits for the children of South Florida.

"Having Office Depot step up to the title sponsor level says volumes for the cause. Rachelle Franklin and her team have become a part of the ZSG family. We're having fun and looking forward to great results," beams Alonzo Mourning, Founder & President of Alonzo Mourning Charities.

Proceeds from Office Depot Zo's Summer Groove benefit several worthy organizations: Children's Home Society of Florida, 100 Black Men of South Florida and the Overtown Youth Center.

Tickets for "Fire and Drums - Zo's Polynesian Paradise" can be purchased through Children's Home Society of Florida by calling 305.324.1262, ext 445. Tickets for the Carnival Cruise Lines All-Star Basketball Game can be purchased through all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster charge by phone at 305.358.5885 in Miami-Dade, 954.523.3309 in Broward, and the AmericanAirlines Arena Box Office.

There is no purchase necessary to enter the sweepstakes, but there is a limit of four free admission passes per person. Admission passes are available at all Office Depot Miami-Dade and Broward County retail stores through June 30th or while supplies last.

The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States, 18 years or older. For complete rules and regulations, please visit your local Miami-Dade or Broward County Office Depot retail location or visit http://www.community.officedepot.com/sweepstakes.asp.
