It is a railroad and distribution center, with oil refineries, meatpacking and dairy-processing plants, flour, lumber, and woolen mills, stockyards, and Canada's largest jet-training base.  on May 10, 2007. He will represent the business voice in Saskatchewan and is committed to making Saskatchewan the best place to live, work and invest.

, Dutchak was following in the footsteps of his father when he started his career in emergency medical services An Emergency medical service (abbreviated to initialism "EMS" in many countries) is a service providing out-of-hospital acute care and transport to definitive care, to patients with illnesses and injuries which the patient believes constitutes a medical emergency. . He has been involved in EMS in Saskatoon since 1979 and is currently president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of M D Ambulance Care Ltd.

Throughout his career, Dutchak has been involved in a number of professional associations. His past involvement with the Saskatchewan Emergency Medical Services Association includes serving a term as president. He is also a board member of Canadian EMS Chiefs of Canada.

Active in community affairs and committed to working within his community to improve the economic position of the province, Dutchak has played a significant role as a board member for the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. As well, he served a term as president of the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce. He also chairs the Saskatoon Planning Commission Noun 1. planning commission - a commission delegated to propose plans for future activities and developments

 and was a board member on Saskatchewan Prevention of Handicaps and was a board member of the Saskatoon Prairie-land Park.

He currently resides in Saskatoon with his wife, Shannon, and their children, Reilley, Kaela, Joshua, Katie and Jordan.
