The Regina Chamber of Commerce and Saskatoon Saskatoon (săskətn`), city (1991 pop. 186,058), S central Sask., Canada, on the South Saskatchewan River.  and District Chamber of Commerce recently presented distinctive members with their Paragon and SABEX awards respectively.

The big winners of the night were those selected for Business of the Year honours. The Paragon award for the Business of the Year went to Partners in Motion, who also picked up the Paragon for Export Achievement. In Saskatoon the SABEX Business of the Year was presented to North Ridge Development Corporation.

Other Paragon winners included:

Young Entrepreneur was awarded to Laura Englund--Zazu the Salon; the Community Involvement award was presented to the Saskatchewan Roughriders The Saskatchewan Roughriders is a Canadian Football League team based in Regina, Saskatchewan, founded in 1910. The Roughriders have won the league's Grey Cup championship twice, in 1966 and 1989. They play their home games at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field.  Football Club; the Paragon for Community Alliance went to the Regina Food Bank and 94.5 Jack FM for their Food for Friends program. The Marketing and Promotional Achievement award went to Prairie Motorcycle Ltd.; the Customer Service Excellence went to Performance Marine; the New Business Venture award was presented to Imagination Ink Ltd.; and the ATHENA[R] award was presented to Jeanne Martinson, Martrain Corporate and Personal Development.

SABEX Awards were presented as follows: Community Involvement went to the Saskatoon Blades The Saskatoon Blades are an ice hockey team in the Eastern Division of the Western Hockey League. They are based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, playing at the 11,310 seat Credit Union Centre.  Hockey Club; Marketing went to DSG DSG Direct Shift Gearbox (Audi)

 Canada Saskatoon Diesel; Export award was presented to Container Port of Saskatchewan; the SABEX award for New Product was awarded to Venmar CES Inc.; Merlin Ford Lincoln won the SABEX award for Customer Service; the Growth & Expansion award went to GC Teleservices Canada Corporation; New Business Venture award went to SandCastle sand·cas·tle

 Resort; the ATHENA[R] award was presented to Marla Adams Marla Adams (born August 28, 1938 in Ocean City, New Jersey) is an American soap opera actress, best known for her roles as Belle Clemens on The Secret Storm, from 1968 to 1974, and as Dina Abbott Mergeron on The Young and the Restless, from 1983 to 1986.  of Deloitte. The Award of Innovation went to Deborah Haines and Brian Chelack, while the Innovation in Productivity award was presented to Corporate Services Department, City of Saskatoon.
