October is National Arts and Humanities Month.


Americans for the Arts Americans for the Arts is a nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in the United States. They describe themselves as being dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the  has again proclaimed pro·claim

 Americans for the Arts, a national organization working to empower communities with the resources and support necessary to provide access to all of the arts for all people, this event has become the country's largest annual collective celebration of the arts and humanities.

The month-long celebration grew out of National Arts Week, which began in 1985 and was established by the National Endowment for the Arts National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)

Independent agency of the U.S. government that supports the creation, dissemination, and performance of the arts. It was created by the U.S.
 and Americans for the Arts.
