Oceaneering's Sales In Accelerating Trend

Oceaneering International OII hit an all-time high in early October, then fell into a base. It's currently working on the right side of that pattern and recently climbed back above its 10-week moving average.

The Houston-based company provides deep-sea drilling and infrastructure services to the oil and gas industry. It also offers engineering services to the defense and aerospace industries.

Oceaneering's remotely operated vehicles are under heavier demand at a time when deep-water drilling is expected to continue growing.

Its earnings growth ranged from 28% to 54% in the past three quarters. Its sales growth accelerated during the same time period, climbing from 19% to 39% and 44%.

Humana HUM broke out of a cup-with-handle base last week. It's now trading just above its 79.82 buy point.

The Louisville, Ky.-based health insurer's earnings growth has varied widely during the past five quarters, coming in between 35% and 142%.

But its sales growth slowed a bit in the past three quarters, from 54% to 32%, 19% and 12%.
