Edward Odneal

SPRINGFIELD - Edward Raymond Odneal of Springfield died June 18 of a heart attack. He was 54.

Odneal was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Springfield to Edward and Blanche Patterson Odneal.

He graduated from South Eugene High School South Eugene High School is a public high school located in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was founded as Eugene High School around 1900, and was located at Willamette Street and West 11th Avenue in a brick building that later served as Eugene's city hall.  in 1965. Odneal served in the National Guard for six years. He worked as a caregiver for 10 years. He also worked as a millworker at Shake Mills.

Odneal enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime resident of this area.

Survivors include his domestic partner of 30 years, Marlene Rohrich; two sons, Kevin and Steve, both of Springfield; two sisters, Elaine Pruitt of Vancouver, Wash., and Katherine Smaldone of Eugene; and two grandchildren.

No service is planned. Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.

Molly Schwindt

OAKRIDGE - The funeral will be held June 22 for Molly V. Schwindt of Oakridge, who died June 18 of age-related causes. She was 88.

Schwindt was born Nov. 11, 1913, in Sas- katchewan to Stephen and Anna Andrens Herbach. She married Joe Schwindt in Scio on Sept. 27, 1932.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, canning and knitting socks. Schwindt was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Oakridge. She moved to in Oakridge in 1955.

Survivors include five daughters, Patricia Boardrow of Springfield, Dotty Jensen of Monument, Irene Daugherty of Monroe, Janice Helbling of Eugene and Carol Leggett of Gleneden Beach; two sons, Allan of Castle Rock, Wash., and Jim of Corvallis; a brother, Joe Schaffer of Gervais; three sisters, Rose Weigel of Portland, Marge Norris of Colorado and Virginia Putzier of Sublimity; 22 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. A son, Joe, died in 1985.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Oakridge Chapel of the Woods Funeral Home. Saturday's service will be at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Oakridge. Burial will follow the service at Forestvale Memorial Park in Oakridge.

Memorial contributions may be made to the altar society at St. Michael Catholic Church.

David Hunt David James Fletcher Hunt, Baron Hunt of Wirral, PC, MBE (born 21 May 1942), is an English Conservative politician, and was a member of the Cabinet during the Margaret Thatcher and John Major administrations.  

David L. Hunt of Portland, formerly of Eugene, died June 15 of heart disease. He was 48.

Hunt was born Oct. 6, 1953, in Eugene to Eugene and Ella Myler Hunt.

He attended college in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  and served in the Navy for two years. Hunt worked as a warehouseman An individual who is regularly engaged in the business of receiving and storing goods of others in exchange for compensation or profit.

The business of warehousemen can be either public or private in nature because they may store either goods belonging to the general public
 and sawmill sawmill, installation or facility in which cut logs are sawed into standard-sized boards and timbers. The saws used in such an installation are generally of three types: the circular saw, which consists of a disk with teeth around its edge; the band saw, which  foreman. He enjoyed camping and reading and was a member of the U.S. Veterans of Foreign Wars. Hunt lived in this area for most of his life.

Survivors include his mother of Eugene; and a sister, Brenda Cleveland of Philomath.

A memorial service will be held later. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Crown Funeral Home in Milwaukie, Ore., is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Knutson

A memorial service will be held June 29 for Margaret Louise Knutson of Eugene, who died May 26 of age-related causes. She was 83.

Knutson was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Bayard, Neb., to Herbert and Ora Hoth Klemke. She married Donald Knutson in Glendale, Calif., on Dec. 4, 1942. He died June 2, 1965.

She graduated one year early and as valedictorian of her class from Bayard High School. She attended a business school in Denver as well as Lane Community College. Knutson worked as a newspaper journalist and as a photography studio assistant. During World War II, she worked at Lockheed Aircraft This is a list of aircraft produced or proposed by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation from its founding as the Lockheed Aircraft Company in 1926 to its merging with Martin Marietta to form the Lockheed Martin Corporation in 1995.  in California.

She lived in Bayard, Denver and several cities in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, , including Santa Barbara Santa Barbara (săn'tə bär`brə, –bərə), city (1990 pop. 85,571), seat of Santa Barbara co., S Calif., on the Pacific Ocean; inc. 1850. , before moving to Eugene in 1960. She worked at Lane Community College as the secretary to the dean of administration and later as the college's archivist ARCHIVIST. One to whose care the archives have been confided. . Knutson retired after 15 years of service. She remained active in the community and began a wedding and floral business after her retirement.

Knutson grew up along the Oregon Trail Oregon Trail, overland emigrant route in the United States from the Missouri River to the Columbia River country (all of which was then called Oregon). The pioneers by wagon train did not, however, follow any single narrow route.  and her interests included pioneer history and the movement west. She was an avid reader and enjoyed lifelong learning, arts, music, sewing, singing, painting, upholstery and cooking. She especially enjoyed her family.

Knutson was a member of the Eugene Faith Center and Job's Daughters. She served as president of the State Secretarial Association and as secretary of the Association of College Archivists.

Survivors include five daughters, Diane Devine of Yreka, Calif., Yvonne Bartel and Karen Fuller, both of Eugene, Terrill Lachcik of Nampa, Idaho, and Pamela Dickson of Nicosia, Cyprus; a sister, Shirley Jones of Sun City, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grand- children.

The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. June 29 at the Eugene Faith Center. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Siegenthaler was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Eugene to Raymond and Doris Thompson Siegenthaler.

He attended Willard Elementary School and Wilson Junior High School and graduated from South Eugene High School. Siegenthaler received a degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876, graduating its first class two years later. The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities. , where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Phi Beta Kappa: see fraternity.

. He did graduate work at Stanford University. He worked as a software designer for most of his life.

He enjoyed music, literature and poetry and had an abiding interest in the human condition. He lived in Long Beach, Calif., the Philippines and Phoenix, Ariz., before returning to Eugene this year.
