Obituaries.Byline: The Register-Guard Margaret Kent Margaret S. Kent of Eugene died Nov. 21 of age-related causes. She was 95. Kent was born May 5, 1906, in Stockton, Mo., to Norman and Laura Fletcher Sanders. She graduated from high school in Newberg. She married D. Harvey Kent in Newberg on Sept. 18, 1926. He died Jan. 20, 1999. Before moving to Eugene in 1949, Kent lived in Halsey, Drain, Newport and Newberg. She worked more than 30 years as an operator and supervisor at Pacific Northwest Bell Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company provided telephone services in the states of Oregon, Washington, and northern Idaho. Pacific Northwest Bell was created on July 1, 1961, when the Bell telephone operations in northern Idaho, Oregon, and Washington state were split off before retiring at age 62. Her interests included gardening, genealogy and traveling in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. McFry was born Jan. 26, 1918, in Surprise, Mo. He married Christine Strong in Hernando, Miss., on Oct. 26, 1966. While living in Missouri, McFry owned a Ford tractor dealership. After moving to Oregon, he worked at dealerships in Medford and Roseburg. Before moving to Eugene in 1998, McFry lived in Medford for eight years and in Roseburg for 20 years. His interests included camping and traveling. He is remembered as a great story teller Story Teller (sold as Story Time in Australia and New Zealand) was a magazine partwork published by Marshall Cavendish between 1982 and 1985. She was 72. DeMarco was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Tacoma to Hubert and Ann Howland Watson. After graduating from Stadium High School in Tacoma, she attended Washington State University Washington State University, at Pullman; land-grant and state supported; chartered 1890, opened 1892 as an agriculture college. She worked for many years as an executive secretary before retiring in 1981 because of neuromuscular disease. Her interests included computers, camping, travel, photography and gardening. She also volunteered with organizations benefiting children, senior citizens and disabled people. Survivors include a son, Jon; a brother, Hubert Watson of Springfield, Va.; and one grandchild. At her request, no services will be held. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont, Calif. Heritage Memorial in Portland is in charge of arrangements. Sheila Harnly A private celebration of life will be held for Sheila June Harnly of Eugene, who died Nov. 21 of cancer. She was 71. Harnly was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Ironton, Ohio, to Henry and Verna Fields Hailey. She graduated from college with a degree in psychology. She married Richard Harnly in Ironton on Dec. 26, 1955. He died June 21, 2000. Harnly worked as a correspondence secretary. She moved to Eugene a year ago. Her interests included jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and fishing. She also enjoyed family activities and spending time with her cat, Whisker. Her family remembers her as an incredible mother. Survivors include a son, Mark of Bayfield, Colo.; a daughter, Sue Harnly of Eugene; a brother, Richard Hailey of South Point, Ohio South Point is a village in Lawrence County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River.
