Jane Kealy

The memorial service will be April 22 for Jane Rottman Kealy of Eugene, who died April 19 of leukemia. She was 78.

She was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Saginaw, Mich., to William and Delia Knaggs Rottman. She lived in Saginaw, Barrington, Ill., and Tempe, Ariz., before moving to Eugene in 1999.

She married James Gerald Kealy in Chicago on Aug. 14, 1948. He died Feb. 28, 1976.

She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in art education.

She worked for the Red Cross during World War II, in newspaper publishing in Chicago and in fine arts administration Arts administration is a college or university discipline which prepares people for careers as arts administrators and managers of arts and cultural organizations such as orchestras, theater companies, or museums.  in Arizona.

Kealy enjoyed gardening, painting, weaving, classical music and her cat, Sophie Rose. She was a member of the Desert Botanical Garden botanical garden, public place in which plants are grown both for display and for scientific study. An arboretum is a botanical garden devoted chiefly to the growing of woody plants.  in Phoenix, Ariz., and the Eugene Garden Club.

Survivors include four daughters, Beth Kealy of Eugene, Sarah Roberts Sarah Victoria "Flash" Roberts is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. The role has been most notably portrayed by Hayden Panettiere from 1994 to 1997 and Shanelle Workman from 2003 to 2004. Justis Bolding assumed the role on June 14 2007.  of Livermore, Calif., Kate Kealy of Portland and Martha Barthell; a brother, William Rottman of New South Wales New South Wales, state (1991 pop. 5,164,549), 309,443 sq mi (801,457 sq km), SE Australia. It is bounded on the E by the Pacific Ocean. Sydney is the capital. The other principal urban centers are Newcastle, Wagga Wagga, Lismore, Wollongong, and Broken Hill. , Australia; and two grandchildren.

Tuesday's service will be at 3 p.m. at the Eugene Garden Club, 1645 High St. Inurnment will be private.

Sherry Raser

The memorial service will be April 22 for Sherry Banks Raser of Eugene, who died April 18 of cancer. She was 70.

She was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Reliance, S.D., to James and Inez Keaton Banks. She lived in Eugene between 1934 and 1950, and returned to Eugene in 1995.

Her interests included art, cinema, travel and entertaining her grandchildren. She was involved in many charity organizations.

Survivors include her five children, David Raser of Alexandria, Va., Kerry Raser-McAndrews of Groveland, Calif., Christopher Raser of Bozeman, Mont., Derek Raser of Venice, Calif., and Dominique Raser of El Cajon, Calif.; three brothers, James Banks of Junction City, Kelly Banks of Eugene and Pat Banks of Coburg; and seven grandchildren.

Tuesday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Musgrove Family Mortuary, Eugene, is in charge of arrangements.
