Lawton, CCM CCM Contemporary Christian Music CCM Critical Care Medicine CCM County College of Morris (New Jersey) CCM Chama Cha Mapinduzi (political party, Tanzania) CCM CORBA Component Model passed away on December 21, 2003 at the age of 88. Lawton was born and raised in Olcott, NY, and was a 1936 graduate of Lehigh University Lehigh University, at Bethlehem, Pa.; coeducational; chartered and opened 1866 by Asa Packer. It has undergraduate colleges of arts and science, business and economics, and engineering and applied science, as well as several graduate programs. . He became a Certified Club Manager and served as general manager of DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, DE, retiring in 1981 after 20 years of service. During his tenure he was responsible for the negotiations which brought the McDonald's LPGA LPGA abbr. Ladies Professional Golf Association tour to DuPont. Lawton was the founding father of the Delaware Chapter of CMAA in addition serving as president of the Deerhurst and Woodbrook Civic Associations. He was also an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism). . He is survived by his children, Sharon L. Ganley and Ginger Lawton Hudson; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Edward W. Lyon passed away on February 2, 2004 at the age of 87. Lyon was born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Cornell Hotel School in 1938. His entire career was spent in the private club industry, managing private country and town clubs in New York City New York City: see New York, city. New York City City (pop., 2000: 8,008,278), southeastern New York, at the mouth of the Hudson River. The largest city in the U.S. ; Evansville, IN; Elmira, NY; St. Petersburg, FL; and Ormond Beach Ormond Beach, resort and residential city (1990 pop. 29,721), Volusia co., NE Fla., on Halifax River (a lagoon) and the Atlantic Ocean; inc. 1880. It was founded (1873) as a health resort and was the winter home of several famous people, including John D. , FL. He spent 14 years as executive director of CMAA, and two years as vice president of Club Corporation of America. Upon retirement, he became executive secretary of the Florida Chapter of CMAA for nine years. He was also a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. Lyon is survived by his wife, Ruth; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Eugene "Gene" Riegel has passed away at the age of 72. Riegel's long tenure in club management included 10 years at Wausau Country Club in Wausau, WI; 11 years at Meadowbrook Country Club in Racine, WI; and 10 years at Columbian Country Club in Dallas, TX. Riegel was also retiring from Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, TX after five years of service. Other stops in Riegel's career included two years at Mesa Country Club in Mesa, AZ, and one year at Green Gables Country Club in Lakewood, CO. Riegel was active in the Wisconsin Badger Chapter of CMAA for 20 years; was a member of the Texas Club Managers' Association and the Texas Lone Star Chapter of CMAA; and attended 35 consecutive CMAA conventions. He is survived by his wife, Doris, whom he married at the 1982 CMAA Convention in New Orleans; eight children; four stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; and one great grandson. |
