Jack H. Gilbreath, Pryor, Okla., died Dec. 27, 2005. He was 76. Gilbreath worked 46 years in the metalcasting industry and was an active AFS A distributed file system for large, widely dispersed Unix and Windows networks from Transarc Corporation, now part of IBM. It is noted for its ease of administration and expandability and stems from Carnegie-Mellon's Andrew File System.

 member, serving in many local and national leadership positions. He retired as plant and general manager of the J.I. Case Pryor, Okla., facility in 1993.

Robert L. Doelman, Alpharetta, Ga., died Jan. 6. He was 83. Doelman was the retired vice president of American Colloid colloid (kŏl`oid) [Gr.,=gluelike], a mixture in which one substance is divided into minute particles (called colloidal particles) and dispersed throughout a second substance. . Doelman served on many AFS committees throughout his career and served as president of the AFS Chicago Chapter in 1954-55. Many of his technical papers have been published in AFS Transactions, and he was awarded the AFS Joseph S. Seaman SEAMAN. Walter Puzach, Brookfield, Wis., retired manager of Ampco Metal, died Jan. 22. He was 80. An AFS member since 1947, Puzach served the AFS Wisconsin Chapter as secretary, vice president and president and was a member of the AFS board of directors, class of 1981. He was also a member of the Non-Ferrous Founders' Society Wisconsin Management Group Board of Directors and sat on the Foundry Advisory Committee of the Milwaukee School of Engineering
