James Cartwright, 63, director of product development at Dalton Foundries (Advanced Cast Products Co.), Warsaw, Indiana, died in January. A national director of the AFS Class of 1993, Cartwright also served as director of the American Cast Metals Assn., the Iron Casting Society, and trustee of the Foundry Educational Foundation and the Iron Casting Research Institute. Before joining Dalton Foundries, Cartwright was president of The Electron Corp., Littleton, Colorado.
Richard Myers, 75, foundry consultant for Myers Consultant, Morganstown, West Virginia, died in February. A national director of the AES Class of 1998, Myers also served as chairman (1987-88) and director (1994-95) of the Pittsburgh Chapter. He formally retired in 1990 after 43 years of service, but remained a consultant for Aditech, Library, Pennsylvania.
