Obituaries.Jack Huggins Schaum, Silver Spring, Md., died May 2, 2007. He was 88. Schaum was editor and later editor and publisher of MODERN CASTING from 1956 to 1982. However, his education and background were in metalcasting engineering and research. He earned a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at Cambridge; coeducational; chartered 1861, opened 1865 in Boston, moved 1916. It has long been recognized as an outstanding technological institute and its Sloan School of Management has notable programs in business, in 1940 and went on to a research position at the Naval Research Laboratory Noun 1.
