Carl Schaefer, Dayton, Ohio Dayton is a city in southwestern Ohio, United States. It is the county seat and largest city of Montgomery County. As of the 2005 census estimate, the population of Dayton was 158,873. , died Nov. 13, 2006. He was 83. Schaefer earned a degree in industrial design-from the Pratt Institute Pratt Institute, at Brooklyn, N.Y.; coeducational; chartered and opened 1887. Alfred Perez, Portland, Ore., died NOV. 19, 2006. He was 63. Perez had been with Bridgetown Cores, Portland, Ore., for six years and in the metalcasting industry for 45 at the time of his death.
