OWNERSHIP OF "MACWORLD" MAGAZINE RETURNS TO IDG.International Data Group (Boston, MA) has purchased the 50% interest in Mac Publishing Mac Publishing is a publishing company based in San Francisco, California, and is wholly owned by the International Data Group. It is the publisher of Macworld magazine and numerous web sites, including Macworld.com, Playlistmag.com, and MacOSXHints.com. Macworld is currently published by IDG in 11 countries, including Australia, Sweden, France, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. IDG also produces the annual MacWorld Conference & Expo. IDG president/ceo Kelly Conlin said the purchase "reflects IDG's commitment to the Mac market, our belief in its future, and our strategy of delivering our content across print, online and event platforms." |
