 running backs coach Eric Bieniemy Eric Bieniemy, Jr. (born August 15, 1969 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a former professional American football running back in the NFL from 1991 to 1999. He was an All-American out of the University of Colorado and was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the 2nd round of the  was among 15 former players inducted into the Orange Bowl Legends in a pregame ceremony.

Bieniemy, a former running back at Colorado, had 105 total yards and scored the lone touchdown in the Buffaloes' 10-9 win over Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. This is an honor and a privilege. Look at this. I'm standing here with Johnny Rodgers, Barry Switzer, Keith Jackson, Michael Irvin, the Selmon brothers and Derrick Brooks.

Bieniemy, a candidate for the running backs coaching job at Texas, is expected to learn whether he'll get the job by next week.

--Good first: Freshman kicker Garrett Hartley made his first field goal attempt of the season when he booted a 29-yarder with 6:07 left in the second quarter.
