), has selected the VantEdge Access Broadband Remote Access Server A broadband remote access server (BRAS) routes traffic to and from the digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAM) on an Internet service provider's (ISP) network.[1]  (BRAS) for broadband aggregation.

OTELCO Telephone will initially deploy the VantEdge to aggregate existing DSLAMs -- including Copper Mountain's CopperEdge 200 -- as well as devices from Adtran, Alcatel, Calix calix /ca·lix/ (ka´liks) pl. ca´lices   [L.] calyx.
