Byline: The Register-Guard

HONOLULU - Oregon State won its fifth straight dual meet, and Naya Higashijima remained unbeaten in dual-meet races this season as the Beavers topped Seattle 84-16 in nonleague women's swimming Tuesday evening at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

OSU (5-2 overall, 0-1 Pacific-10) will remain in Hawaii for three more days of training and then break for the holidays; the Beavers return to action Jan. 12 with a home meet against Brigham Young.

Against Seattle (2-2), Higashijima won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 butterfly to push her dual-meet win streak to 20 races this season.

Oregon State also got wins from Birte Steven in the 1,000 freestyle and 100 freestyle, Kristin Huston in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, Bonnie Renwick in the 50 freestyle, Verena Haas in the 500 freestyle and Sheila Tehranchi in the 200 breaststroke.
