OSHA announces plan for voluntary ergonomics guidelines. (Trends & News).

 originally released a rule in November 2000, but Congress passed and President Bush signed a joint resolution overturning it last March.

OSHA has not yet said which industries it will develop guidelines for. While the guidelines will be voluntary, OSHA says it will take enforcement actions against industries with high injury rates. OSHA also said it will have special ergonomics inspection teams that will work with Department of Labor attorneys.
