ORBCOMM Announces New Gateway Earth Station in Kazakhstan.


DULLES, Va. -- ORBCOMM, a global satellite telecommunications company See telecom company. , today announced it has commissioned a new Gateway Earth Station in Almaty, Kazakhstan, near the southern border with China. The new station will be fully operational by December 1, 2005.

This new GES is ORBCOMM's latest effort to advance its international growth strategy, bringing the number of operating stations to 13.
