OPTICAL RADIATION APPOINTS NEW GROUP PRESIDENTS

 AZUZA, Calif., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Optical Radiation Corp. (NASDAQ: ORCO) today announced that Ernest C. Wilcock has joined the company in the newly created post of president of the ophthalmic surgical products group and the promotion of William T. Sullivan to president of the consumer optical group, also a newly created position.
 Wilcock, 41, brings to Optical Radiation a 16-year career in the healthcare field, most recently as corporate vice president of Nichols Institute, a medical laboratory in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., with $300 million in annual revenues. He previously was corporate vice president -- healthcare for Sysco Corp., responsible for the startup of a new medical products division. Wilcock also held various management positions over a 13-year period with Baxter International, including president of the industrial division of Baxter's scientific products unit.
 Wilcock earned master's and bachelor's degrees in science from the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Canada.
 Sullivan, 49, previously was group vice president of Optical Radiation's consumer optical group. He has been a vice president of the company since 1987. Previously, Sullivan was president and chief executive officer of Pearle Health Services, a Dallas-based provider of eyecare services. A graduate of the University of Dallas, Sullivan earned an M.S. degree in quality systems. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee and also attended the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School.
 Optical Radiation designs and manufactures a wide range of precision optical components and systems for medical, industrial and scientific applications.
