Chalkboard Project seeks feedback from public The Chalkboard Project has released a new round of proposals to improve K-12 education and is seeking public feedback. The proposals are based on recommendations from Chalkboard's work groups on Education Quality and Finance, as well as all other research and input the organization has compiled over the past two years. Chalkboard will gather feedback between now and June, with the aim of taking final recommendations to the Legislature in 2007. The proposals focus on strengthening teacher quality; supporting early readers; increasing school spending efficiency and accountability; and stabilizing Oregon's school funding system a system or scheme of finance or revenue by which provision is made for paying the interest or principal of a public debt.
