As a result, some Valley schools such as Dixie Canyon Avenue School in Sherman Oaks did not participate in the open enrollment program to leave space for neighborhood students.

Parents and guardians are advised to call the school office before visiting the campus to find out if any open enrollment seats are left.

New and continuing students also should confirm the first day of classes because schools are on different schedules throughout the district.
