 package, Rural Skills Australia, 2002.

This CD-ROM is for young people interested in a rural future, it is a great way to find out about the kind of rural job that interests you. The CD was produced to promote rural jobs for younger people as there has been a declining interest in rural careers. There is a range of themes to explore, with a lot of them showing a video presentation of what the lifestyle is like and how to get involved in that particular area. From wool harvesting to veterinary nursing, the range of careers is massive, and the CD-ROM provides information on how to get prepared for the career you want.

This CD-ROM is recommended for young people, or people of any age, interested in a rural future. It would be very useful to people who want to get started in a career and need some help finding out how. If you are interested in checking the CD-ROM out, it can be obtained from your school or training organisation, and Rural Skills Australia has granted permission for the CD-ROM to be copied. Also, to find out more, go to the web site www.ruralskills.com.au/ontrack However, the video clips can only be viewed on the CD-ROM. The site includes links to other web sites, which provide you with more information about the industry you are interested in. There are also links to job/career web sites. Another way to find out more is to call this free call number: 1800 647 798.

To run the CD-ROM you will need a fairly powerful computer, at least a Pentium II 400 MHz or Macintosh G3 300 MHz (or equivalent).
