ONSTREAM UNVEILS FIRST USB 2.0 DIGITAL TAPE DRIVE.

OnStream Data, a prominent manufacturer of backup solutions, is the first to market with a digital tape drive featuring the high-speed, hot-pluggable USB 2.0 interface.

OnStream's ADR2.60usb allows users to quickly attach the tape drive to running computers without the need to restart, increasing flexibility and mobility in the critical data backup process. Featuring a 60 gigabyte(a) capacity and a data transmission rate of up to 5 megabytes per second, the new drive will be marketed at an estimated street price of $729 (U.S.).

The ADR2.60usb extends OnStream's second generation of award-winning Advanced Digital Recording (ADR) products and comes bundled with Yosemite TapeWare XE (valued at $700), which includes integrated disaster recovery software, free Yosemite software support, remote administration and multilingual software and manuals.
