ONS and European Oncology Nursing Society commit to closer collaboration.

The European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is a legal document describing a bilateral or multilateral agreement between parties.  that formally acknowledges the close working relationship of the two societies.

EONS is currently the only European cancer nursing society, representing different national societies, associated members, and individuals across Europe. EONS objectives aim to promote cancer nursing through communication, education, research, and influencing the political agenda governing cancer care.

The MOU commits the two organizations to closer collaboration and the development of joint projects while recognizing each other's sphere of influence and geographic integrity. Two immediate advantages of the MOU is that the societies have agreed to a greater exchange of materials developed by each, particularly those in languages other than English LOTE or Languages Other Than English is the name given to language subjects at Australian schools. LOTEs have often historically been related to the policy of multiculturalism, and tend to reflect the predominant non-English languages spoken in a school's local area, the , and to look at the development of improved Web-based cancer nursing resources for members of ONS and EONS.
