ONLINE CREATIVE LABS UNVEILS "OMAR" FOR MTV ONLINE.Omar is in the house. The first official MTV Online character has spoken his first words to the online world on mtv.com. Born with the mission of helping fans get the most out of their MTV Online experience, Omar talks Web-site visitors through new additions to the site and leads them to fun events, promotions and contests. What does Omar look like? Standing two inches tall, with Orangeish-Red hair, a sort of Rorange, and oversized eye will catch the attention of MTV Online fans. With a downtown attitude and moves to boot, Omar is MTV Online fans' personal connection with the site. "Omar is the lovechild of the Online Creative Lab," said Allie Eberhardt, creative director, Online Creative Lab. "We created a character who we think the MTV fan will relate with - he's hip, music-savvy, and loves the Web. Omar's style and finesse makes him the perfect character for MTV.com." The Online Creative Lab tapped into interactive learning technology developed by Learn2.com (NASDAQ: LTWO), which allows Omar to move and groove, and educate visitors as they visit MTV Online. The introduction of Omar follows the recent debut of the MTV S-Track, Volume 1, the Internet's first original soundtrack developed for a Web site.
