The new products are built on an internationally accepted standard platform positioning ONE TOUCH to answer the growing demand for immediate access to cost effective, high quality training. This product line will both enhance and build upon ONE TOUCH's already installed base of 100,000 interactive seats. The new product enhancements include a fully iconized ONE TOUCH Response Keypad A small keyboard or supplementary keyboard keys; for example, the keys on a calculator or the number/cursor cluster on a computer keyboard. See programmable keypad. and a new Site Controller offering full digital audio capabilities. Also announced is a new Host Instructor Station utilizing the Windows(R) NT(R) 4.0 operating system operating system (OS) Software that controls the operation of a computer, directs the input and output of data, keeps track of files, and controls the processing of computer programs. and Intel's Pentium(R) processor. ONE TOUCH will begin shipping the new keypad and site controller immediately. The new Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs. NT is the core technology in Windows 2000 and Windows XP (see Windows). Available in separate client and server versions, it includes built-in networking and preemptive multitasking. The ONE TOUCH Site Controller manages the voice and data transmission between ONE TOUCH Response Keypads and the ONE TOUCH Instructor Station. The new Site Controller will support VSAT (Very Small Aperture satellite Terminal) A small earth station for satellite transmission that handles up to 56 Kbits/sec of digital transmission.
