CANYON COUNTRY - Volunteers from Home Depot The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is an American retailer of home improvement and construction products and services.

Headquartered in Vinings, just outside Atlanta in unincorporated Cobb County, Georgia, Home Depot employs more than 355,000 people and operates 2,164 big-box
invaded a women's outreach facility Friday armed with cans of paint, new shelves and a door that will offer struggling women some privacy.

Accustomed to helping others, Single Mothers Outreach executive director Debbie Quick found herself on the receiving end Friday when ``Team Depot'' painted the organization's headquarters, installed new shelves and hung a door to separate the case manager's office from the rest of the facility.

``They did this on their day off,'' Quick said after the seven-hour project. ``I was especially touched when I realized they weren't even getting paid - I thought they were getting their normal pay as part of it.''

Staffed with woman who benefited themselves from the group's help, Single Mother's Outreach provides donated clothing suitable for job interviews, connects women with day care providers, offers career guidance and helps find affordable housing for women raising children alone.

Before ``Team Depot's'' four volunteers worked their magic - using materials donated by Home Depot on Soledad Canyon Soledad Canyon is a long narrow canyon / valley located in Los Angeles County, California between the cities of Palmdale and Santa Clarita. Soledad Canyon contains the localities of Vincent, Acton, Ravenna, and Agua Dulce.  Road in Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  - there was little privacy for women who came to the offices and shared their stories with a case manager.

``This makes it look more professional and they can pour their hearts out without feeling like they're being looked at,'' Quick said. ``Even though we're all women, it still can be hard to just tell your life story. This gives everyone more privacy.''
