ON THE RUN FROM FBI LAW SEEKS HELP IN FINDING 10 DANGEROUS FUGITIVES.

Los Angeles' 10 Most Wanted Most Wanted may refer to:

FBI officials normally no longer put out 10 Most Wanted lists but consider this group so dangerous they're asking for the public's help in finding Southern California's 10 Most Wanted.

``We're not asking someone to go to the station,'' Garriola said. ``Give us a tip, and then that's it.''

Allegation: Mercado was allegedly involved in a series of murders and attempted murders that occurred in Los Angeles in 1995. Mercado is a leader of an Asian street gang known as the Asian Boyz, whose members are thought to be responsible for the murders of rival gang members and others not associated with any gangs. In 1999, several Asian Boyz gang members were convicted and received life sentences. Mercado is believed to have fled to the Philippines with his brother Pierre Mercado, who is also an Asian Boyz gang member.

Allegation: Mercado, a member of the Asian Boyz gang led by his wanted brother Marvin, is wanted for attempted murder in Los Angeles and is believed to have fled to the Philippines with Marvin. Members of the gang are allegedly responsible for a series of 1995 murders of rival gang members and people not associated with any gangs.

Name: Jesse James Hollywood Jesse James Hollywood (born January 28, 1980 in Los Angeles, California) was a drug dealer and fugitive. He allegedly kidnapped and ordered the murder of Nicholas Markowitz.  

Aka: Sean Michaels

Age: 21

Description: 5 feet 5 inches, 140 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes Blue eyes are eyes that have blue irises (see eye color), and may also refer to:

Wanted for: kidnapping and murder, and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: Hollywood is wanted in connection with the kidnapping and murder of 15-year-old Nicholas Samuel Markowitz. The crimes may have occurred in retaliation for an alleged drug debt owed by the West Hills teen's brother, Benjamin Markowitz.

Authorities allege that on Aug. 6, at Hollywood's direction, two of his accomplices set out to kidnap Benjamin Markowitz but were unable to locate him. Instead, they allegedly forced Nicholas into a van and took him to a residence of another accomplice.

On Aug. 8, after being transported to Santa Barabra, Nicholas was taken to a rural area in Goleta, where he was bound, gagged and shot. His body was later discovered in a shallow grave. Hollywood's accomplices have since been arrested. Hollywood has been seen on the television show ``America's Most Wanted For the professional wrestling tag team, see .

, when Rawlings was in his garage at his Woodland Hills home on Feb. 8, 1999. Rawlings' family members heard what was going on and called 911.

The suspects allegedly forced Rawlings into the trunk of a Bentley and drove off with police in pursuit. The Bentley collided with another vehicle in the 5800 block of Tampa Avenue and struck a power pole power pole

Wanted for: murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: Rangel is wanted in connection with the July 27, 1998, murder of his live-in girlfriend in Garden Grove Garden Grove, city (1990 pop. 143,050), Orange co., S Calif., a suburb of Long Beach and Los Angeles, on the Santa Ana River; founded 1877, inc. 1956. Many of its residents work in nearby aerospace and defense installations, and there is light manufacturing. . A fight had taken place between the couple at their residence, and Rangel allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend in front of one of their children. Wanted for: kidnapping, murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: On July 17, 1994, a witness observed a man later identified as Berdeja dumping a female body out of a beige Nissan pickup truck (California plate, 2XIS367) near a water tower in Westminster. The man was then observed picking up a large piece of asphalt and slamming it down on her head as she lay on the ground.

The Westminster Police Department responded to the report by the witness and found the female's body at the described location. Berdeja and the woman were co-workers at a Tustin restaurant. Berdeja, his wife and their children reportedly packed their belongings and left Orange County.

In July 1994, Berdeja was charged by the state of California with kidnapping and murder. In March 1995, the FBI in Los Angeles issued a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Wanted for: sexual assault on a child and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: Lyons was indicted INDICTED, practice. When a man is accused by a bill of indictment preferred by a grand jury, he is said to be indicted.  in February 2000 by a Nevada grand jury on four counts of sexual assault, one count of lewdness Behavior that is deemed morally impure or unacceptable in a sexual sense; open and public indecency tending to corrupt the morals of the community; gross or wanton indecency in sexual relations.

An important element of lewdness is openness.
 with a child under the age of 14, and three counts of unlawful use of a minor in the production of pornography. The charges stem from allegations of sexual abuse of minors as well as photography of minors.

Authorities say Lyons is a known cocaine dealer and methamphetamine user and may be in possession of a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol. Lyons has made statements in the past that he would not be taken alive by law enforcement.

Lyons has family members and close friends in Southern California that he may seek assistance from, police said. He reportedly is a skilled plumber, a heavy gambler and enjoys surfing. He also smokes cigarettes.

Name: Van Ngoc Nguyen

Aka: ``Ta'' or ``Rabbit''

Age: 22

Description: 5 feet 6 inches, 110 pounds, black hair, brown eyes

Scars and marks: unknown scar on his right thigh

Wanted for: murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: Nguyen, known to be a Power of the Vietnamese gang member, allegedly fatally shot Son Thanh Nguyen and Tom Huynh, and shot and wounded Hoang Van Le and Trung Quoc Le on March 31, 1997, in Westminster. The shootings are believed to be gang-related against rival gangs Tiny Viet Boys and Asian Boyz. An argument ensued after POV POV

During the argument, members from each gang lined up against each other in the back yard. When some members called for peace, Nguyen allegedly yelled, ``whoever wants peace, I'll jump them out now.'' Nguyen is believed to have pulled out a gun and shot Tom Huynh, Hoang Van Le, Son Nguyen and then shot Trung Le after chasing him down.

A 9 mm handgun believed to be used has not been recovered. Indications are that Nguyen fled to Iowa or Nevada. The FBI in Los Angeles has issued a warrant.

Name: Juan Antonio Angulo Hernandez

Aka: unknown

Age: unknown

Description: 5 feet 9 inches, 140 pounds, black hair, brown eyes

Scars and marks: unknown

Wanted for: Armed robbery and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: Hernandez is wanted in connection with the Feb. 17, 1998, armed robbery of an auto store in North Hollywood. Hernandez allegedly used a revolver during the commission of the robbery and threatened to kill employees and customers there.

Name: Bounsouay Chanthavong

Aka: ``Hum''

Age: 26

Description: 5 feet 7 inches, 136 pounds, black hair, brown eyes

Scars and marks: unknown

Wanted for: Murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution

Allegation: Chanthavong allegedly shot and killed Theerht Sriphet in the 5200 block of Hollywood Boulevard on Jan. 31, 1992, and allegedly shot and killed James Hanesana in Nashville, Tenn., on Aug. 9, 1999, after going to his residence with an associate and other individuals to settle an ongoing domestic dispute. Chanthavong allegedly punched Hanesana's wife in the mouth during the argument. Chanthavong allegedly shot Hanesana when the man came out to see what was happening.

Hanesana's two children were at home when the shooting occurred and called the police. Authorities believe Chanthavong may be in the Los Angeles area.

L.A.'s 10 Most Wanted

The FBI's 10 Most Wanted in the Los Angeles area are on the run from charges alleging heinous and violent crimes. Included on the list is Jesse James Hollywood, wanted for his connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 15-year-old West Hills teen, along with a list of others wanted on charges from murder to gang crime.
