 will no longer offer walk-in service for travelers who need a passport within 14 days or require extra time to obtain visas. Instead, the agency will be open by appointment only 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers can schedule an appointment by calling (310) 575-5700 any time of day. In addition to the regular passport fees (renewal within last 12 years $40; new passport 16 years and over $60; under 16 years $40), a $35 expediting fee will be charged for processing an application within three business days. Delayed maiden voyages

Add the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess to the list of new ships that have been delayed this year. Because of what a Princess spokeswoman described as the need merely to ``fine tune'' the Grand Princess, its maiden voyage will be delayed 12 days, until May 26, when it sails from Istanbul in Turkey to Barcelona, Spain. Passengers who booked on the canceled voyage will receive a full refund plus a 25 percent discount on any future Princess cruise (depending on space).

Yosemite learning vacations

Courses in botany, birding, American Indian basket making, painting, drawing, photography, day hikes and backpacking are offered this summer through Yosemite Field Seminars. All courses include fee for campground space. Another accommodation option (at additional cost) is staying in cabins in Yosemite Valley and Wawona.
