Global semiconductor manufacturer teaming up with other

industry leaders as a participant in inaugural members meeting

ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN) announces that it has joined the Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) Alliance and has been accepted by the alliance as a Contributor Member. The company will participate as a member of the System Power Management Investigation Group. The alliance is a not-for-profit consortium that has as its goal the definition and promotion of open standard specifications for mobile application processor interfaces. These open standards are intended to make implementation of hardware and software easier and facilitate reuse across mobile devices, accelerating time-to-market.
