The ON DEMAND Best of Show Awards will be judged in eight categories. One award will be presented in each category.

* Bindery A NetWare file used for security and accounting in the early NetWare 2.x and 3.x versions. The bindery pertained only to the server it resided in and contained the names and passwords of users authorized to log in to that server. , Finishing and Mailing Equipment: systems for booklet making, collating, binding, cutting, folding, coating, converting, inserting and mailing

* Document Creation Software: software and systems for content creation and delivery, including variable data solutions

* Web to Print Solutions: solutions using the web to facilitate production of printed jobs

* Workflow Solutions: solutions that help achieve automation and super-efficiency in managing the document lifecycle or a critical component

* Monochrome Also called "mono." Refers to display screens that use one foreground and one background color; for example, black on white, white on black or green on black. The first terminals connected to mainframes and minicomputers were monochrome, and monochrome screens were widely used on early  Digital Printing Equipment: production monochrome printing systems

* Spot Color A color that is printed from one printing plate which contains one matched color of ink. Spot colors are used when only one or two solid colors are needed on a page or when a color has to match perfectly and be consistent such as with a company logo or when colors are the trademark of the  Digital Printing Equipment: production spot or highlight color printing “colour separation” redirects here. Color printing is the reproduction of an image or text in color (as opposed to simpler black and white or monochrome printing).

The awards program is open to all show exhibitors. To be eligible, products must have been introduced after May 1, 2006, be generally available at the time of the 2007 ON DEMAND Conference & Expo, and be on display or in use during the show. Exhibiting companies may enter up to two products. A $50 entry fee is required for each nomination.

The competition will be judged by a diversified diversified (di·verˑ·s  panel of distinguished professionals from the graphic arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving.  and printing community. The judges are chosen for their accomplishments and extensive knowledge in this market and its technologies. Judges will use a weighted combination of subjective and objective criteria in making their selections for Best of Show.
