OMRON has more than 20 years of experience providing copper inlays for the RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) A data collection technology that uses electronic tags for storing data. The tag, also known as an "electronic label," "transponder" or "code plate," is made up of an RFID chip attached to an antenna.  market. Today's announcement introduces OMRON's new aluminum-based inlay (V730S-D S-D Source-Destination (address pairs) 13-P01)

The new inlay caters to the needs of customers who prefer aluminum instead of copper inlays due to environmental concerns about disposal of copper waste. The combination of an aluminum antenna with OMRON's patented chip bonding technology called Jomful dramatically reduces the use of environmentally unfriendly materials and enables us to meet RoHS standards.

OMRON has been focusing on developing new UHF (Ultra High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 300 MHz to 3 GHz. In the U.S., analog television has used UHF channels 52 to 69 in the 700 MHz band.  products to meet market requirements as described in numerous RFID mandates from large retailers. These retailer mandates have inspired widespread investigations of the use of RFID across industries. For some applications, HF performs better than UHF. In light of these findings, OMRON is broadening its lineup of inlays and RFID readers to help customers select the optimum RFID solution to meet their specific business needs.
