OLDER STUDENTS SHIFT DEMAND HIGH SCHOOL ENROLLMENT RISES.

OAK PARK - Now that the community is nearly built out, Oak Park Unified School District Oak Park Unified School District (OPUSD) is a K-12 school district in southeast Ventura County, California, USA. It consists of six public schools in the community of Oak Park.  officials expect enrollment will continue to rise, but at a slower pace than in recent years.

In a change from the increases occurring at the elementary level, middle and high schools are now seeing the increased enrollment.

Based on housing, historical increases and factors such as early kindergarten enrollment for pupils' younger siblings, the 23-year-old district projects an increase of 104 children for the 2000-01 school year.

,'' Klauss said. ``As people raise their families and their children eventually move away, parents no longer have need for a four-, five-, six-bedroom house. Then a family with young children moves in.''
