OKI Printing Solutions Continues Its Asian Expansion by Launching Its First Taiwan Sales Office.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- As part of its continued expansion in South East Asia, OKI Printing Solutions (the brand name for Oki Data Corporation) has this month opened a sales office in Taipei, Taiwan - its first in the country.

The move closely follows the recent opening of a representative office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and a sales office in Seoul, Korea in the last year, as part of the company's ongoing strategy to enhance its local presence in South East Asia, and in turn, bolster its share of the color page printer market.

Mr Mikihiko Maeno, President and CEO for Oki Data Corporation, says:

Mr Hiro Hayashi, newly appointed President of the Taiwan sales office says: "I am delighted to take on this new role and grow OKI Printing Solutions' brand in Taiwan. Up until now, we have worked purely through a dealer network, and although this will continue, we will also have the added support of a sales office to affirm our presence in the region."

In addition to its expansion in South East Asia, in the last year OKI Printing Solutions has also announced a new manufacturing facility in Scotland, a Print Centre in Mexico, two local sales offices in Brazil, as well as launching its first software development company in China.

Oki Systems Taiwan Co Ltd is a subsidiary of Oki Data Corporation, which markets its products under the OKI Printing Solutions brand.
